North Arrow ABA was founded and remains headquartered in Traverse City, Michigan. Our roots in Northern Michigan run deep, with additional clinical centers in Petoskey, Cheboygan, Grayling, and Cadillac. We serve families all across the community, from the Upper Peninsula to mid-Michigan, when and where they need us. North Arrow is a privately-held business, with no outside investors. Our owners live, work, and play in Northern Michigan, with multi-generational ties to the area. They have developed a collaborative and transparent ownership model that allows our ABA professionals to have a stake in company decision-making and financial results, through our innovative Employee-Owner program.

Jonathan Timm, MA, BCBA, LBA

Founder and Clinical Executive

North Arrow ABA, LLC was founded by Jonathan Timm, MA, BCBA, a Licensed and Board Certified Behavior Analyst with over a decade of experience serving individuals with developmental disabilities. A Western Michigan University graduate, certified instructor in Professional Crisis Management, and previous leader in multiple ABA organizations, Jonathan brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table.  Based in Traverse City, Michigan, Jonathan launched North Arrow ABA to provide high quality behavior analytic services to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities throughout Northern Michigan.

 

Mike Dow

Executive Director

Mike has spent 25+ years leading businesses across the globe, in roles running the gamut from management consultant to CEO, and in locations from Northern Michigan and Washington DC to Saudi Arabia. His work and companies have been featured in several publications, including Fortune Magazine and his company's recognition in Washingtonian Magazine as one of the area's Great Places to Work. He's spent the last several years working with several ABA providers, to include being a founding member, President, and Executive Director of the Michigan Behavior Analysis Providers Association (MiBAP), a non-profit established to promote access to the science of ABA in the state of Michigan.

In his spare time, Mike is an author. His science fiction trilogy, Dark Matters, rose to #1 in Amazon e-book sales in April 2016, soon after its release. He also enjoys golf, travel, and his ongoing efforts to do better than his wife at fishing. Mike grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, earning his undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia Engineering School, followed by the Harvard Business School General Manager Program. He currently lives in Traverse City, Michigan, with his wife and two daughters.
